Adoptable Cats & Kittens

Rescue Right Meow is a no-kill, foster-based cat rescue serving Cecil County and the surrounding area. We C.A.R.E. for Cats through our four pillars--Collaborate, Assist, Rescue, and Educate.

We Rescue unwanted, and abandoned cats, providing temporary foster homes until good, permanent homes are found. We will also strive to reunite lost cats with their families.

All our cats and kittens are spayed and neutered, vaccinated (rabies and distemper), dewormed, FeLV, FIV and Heartworm tested, and Microchipped in accordance with age guidelines. Please see guidelines below for additional information.

All kittens above have been altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, have tested negative for both FIV and Feline Leukemia and are now ready for their furrever homes!

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Right Meow Rescue and being willing  to open your heart and home to one of our cats. Below is information which outlines the adoption process, guidelines and adoption policies. Please review all the information below. Adoption Process:

Fill out an Adoption Interest Form to indicate interest in adopting. Please allow up to 5 days for the adoption questionnaire to be processed. 

A representative will reach out by your preferred form of communication to schedule a meet and greet. 

You will receive an email with details of scheduled meet and greet.

At the meet and greet, you will meet the cat(s) you indicated interest in on the Adoption Interest Form if available. 

If the meet and greet goes well, you would sign an adoption contract and the non-refundable adoption donation  fee is paid, you may be able to take the cat or kitten home same day.

Adoption Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older to adopt from Rescue Right Meow.

Adopter must have a valid identification showing current address and age.

All current cats and dogs should be up to date on their rabies vaccine.  We may verify rabies status with your veterinarian. 

All cats should be spayed or neutered. 

Adopter must not have any criminal charges in relation to abuse, violence or animal welfare. 

Adopter must  be able to and be willing to spend both time and money on the newly adopted cat or kitten which includes medical treatment and costs associated with raising a cat.

Adoption Guidelines:

Rescue Right Meow is located in Maryland. We accept adoptions within  the  state of Maryland.

 

Generally, we do accept out of state adoptions from residents in  the following states: CT, DC, DE, MA, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA and WV. If your state is not listed, please contact us and we can discuss your individual situation.

What is included in the adoption fee?

Spay/Neuter

Rabies Vaccine

Distemper Vaccines (age appropriate)

Flea Treatment if needed

Possible other veterinarian services

Rescue Right  Meow reserves the right to deny the adoption of any cat or kitten without the requiring an explanation.

Please remember that completing the Adoption Questionnaire does not guarantee a specific cat or kitten nor does it guarantee an adoption with Rescue Right Meow.
